Our sweet Amaroso is a humble, unsung hero! He is 15.3hh and 14 years old. He teaches many of our lunge lessons as he has great energy and a consistent rhythm. This allows beginners to get the hang of basic movements and upper-level riders to hone their skills, work on their balance and ensure connectedness to the horse! Amaroso is also a master of tempi changes and piaffe!
This sweet guy is one of the resident schoolmasters at Sons of the Wind. He is 15 years old and is best known for his masterful ability to teach long line lessons. He is incredibly comfortable and one of our most forgiving teachers.
At only 6 years old, this sweet guy is the youngest of our Schoolmasters. We knew he was special from a very early age as he’s always had an “old soul” and is a perfect gentlemen. His steady, rhythmical gates make him a great teacher both on and off the lunge line. FUN FACT: Van Gogh got his name because he’s actually missing part of his ear (don’t worry…it happened long before he came into our SOTW family)!
This handsome devil is 20 years young, was imported from Portugal and has a personality that’s (almost) as big as his hair! Rivoli is a 15.2hh stallion and has performed in Europe and all over the United States.
Valioso loves to teach the piaffe. In fact, he loves the piaffe so much that he has performed it in front of thousands of people on top of a grand piano (yes…you ready that correctly)! He is 16 years young and stands at 15.2hh. He was imported from Brazil after a successful working equitation career there and has continued to help our guests and staff excel at learning classical riding.
This handsome 12 year old Lusitano gelding has been used extensively in our schoolmaster program this winter. He is one of our most forgiving teachers and since he’s schooled through Prix St George, he affords our guests the ability to get in some serious practice and excels at teaching the collected gaits.
Jeronimo is a young horse with a wise soul. He is extremely patient and kind to all riders. He is a star on the lunge line as well as dependable for independent lessons.
Dinoco is a talented, sensitive upper level schoolmaster. He is trained through Grand Prix and can teach more advanced riders all of the upper level movements including tempi changes and piaffe.
